Terms & Conditions (AGB)

Huimin Jia – Business & Chinese Services

1. Scope

These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Huimin Jia – Business & Chinese Services, including Chinese language teaching, cultural introduction, coaching sessions, and interpreting services delivered online or in person. By booking a service, the client accepts these Terms & Conditions.

 

2. Services

We offer individual and group coaching sessions focused on Chinese language and cultural understanding, as well as professional interpreting services for Chinese in business, professional, and everyday contexts.

Interpreting includes the oral transfer of spoken content.

Written translation is a separate service and not automatically included.

Details such as duration, content, and pricing are provided on the website or communicated directly.

 

3. Booking and Payment

Bookings can be made via email, booking system, or direct agreement.

Payment terms:

  • Payment is due before the session unless otherwise agreed.

  • Accepted payment methods include bank transfer, PayPal, or other methods listed on the website.

  • Travel costs for in‑person sessions may apply and will be communicated in advance.

  • For interpreting services, waiting time and travel time may be billed separately.

 

4. Cancellation and Rescheduling

Client cancellations (coaching, teaching, cultural sessions)

  • Up to 48 hours before the session: free of charge

  • Less than 48 hours before the session: 100% of the session fee

  • Missed appointments without notice: fully charged

Client cancellations (interpreting services)

  • Up to 5 business days before the appointment: free of charge

  • 5–2 business days before the appointment: 50% of the agreed fee

  • Less than 2 business days before the appointment: 100% of the agreed fee

  • No‑show: full fee charged

Rescheduling:

  • Coaching, teaching, cultural sessions: rescheduling is possible up to 48 hours before the session, subject to availability.

  • Interpreting services: rescheduling is possible up to 5 business days before the appointment. Requests made later than 5 business days are treated as cancellations and charged according to the cancellation policy above.

Provider cancellations

If we must cancel due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, the session or appointment will be rescheduled at no additional cost.

 

5. Packages and Validity

  • Packages must be paid in full before the first session.

  • Packages are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase unless otherwise stated.

  • Unused sessions expire after the validity period and are non‑refundable.

  • Packages do not apply to interpreting services unless explicitly stated.

 

6. Prices

  • All prices are listed on the website or communicated individually.

  • Prices may change, but confirmed bookings remain at the agreed rate.

  • For clients within Germany and private clients within the EU: prices include 19% VAT according to German tax regulations.

  • For business clients in other EU countries with a valid VAT ID: services are invoiced without VAT under the reverse‑charge mechanism.

  • For clients outside the EU: services are invoiced without VAT in accordance with applicable tax rules.

  • VAT treatment is determined by the client’s billing address and VAT status.

  • Any additional costs (e.g., travel expenses for in‑person appointments) will be communicated in advance.

 

7. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for:

  • providing accurate information during booking

  • ensuring a stable internet connection for online sessions

  • arriving on time

  • using provided materials only for personal use

  • providing necessary context and documents for interpreting appointments

  • ensuring a suitable environment for in‑person or online interpreting

If the client does not fulfill these responsibilities, service quality may be affected without reducing the fee.

 

8. Liability

We are not liable for:

  • technical issues on the client’s side

  • delays caused by internet or communication problems

  • decisions the client makes based on coaching or interpreted content

Liability is limited to cases of intentional misconduct or gross negligence.

 

9. Confidentiality

All information shared during coaching, teaching, or interpreting sessions is treated as strictly confidential.

No information is shared with third parties unless legally required.

 

10. Copyright

All teaching materials and content provided during sessions are protected by copyright.

Clients may not copy, distribute, publish, or share materials without written permission.

 

11. Data Protection

Personal data is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy available on this website.

 

12. Applicable Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany.
